专家简介:Dr. Pan is an assistant professor in the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed Signal VLSI at the University of Macau. His research interests are in Biomedical Engineering, Bioelectronic circuit design and bioelectric phenomena. During his doctoral study, he developed a theoretical model for the Intra body communication based on the Maxwell’s Equations. Currently, he has been working on the network theory of the intra body communication (IBC). Additionally, Dr. Pan is actively serving the professional community. He was elected as the chair of IEEE EMBS Hong Kong – Macau Joint Chapter in 2013. He is also a member of the executive committee of the IEEE EMBS Hong Kong–Macau Joint chapter and a member of executive council of the Macau Society of Biomedical Engineering.
报告摘要:Intra-Body Communication (IBC), which utilizes the human body as communication channel to transmit healthinformatics, is an alternative communication method for on body and in-body devices networking. In order to establish reliable Body Area Network (BAN), a theoretical analysis of the network capacity can provide criteria forselection of fundamental transmission parameters (e.g., data rate,transmission power and modulation scheme), which is helpful forphysical layer design of Body Area Network (BAN). In this talk, we will introduce the theoretical model of the IBC by using the Electromagnetic Theory and then the channel characteristics of the IBC will be discussed.
