专家简介：Dr. Ian Liau (廖奕翰) received the B.S. and the M.S. degrees in chemistry from the National Tsing Hua University and the National Taiwan University, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University of Chicago. Later, he joined a biotech company based in Silicon Valley focusing on microfluidics technology, and became a Manager leading a team to develop medical devices at the Biomedical Engineering Center of ITRI. He started his academic career as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the National Chiao Tung University in 2005, and became Associated Professor since 2010. His research interests include biomedical photonics and its application on medical issues encompassing cardiovascular diseases such as oxidative stress and ischemia-reperfusion injury.
