专家简介:Beate Röder is professor for experimental physics at the Department of Physics, Humboldt-Universität zu (HU) Berlin since 1992. She is leading the photobiophysics group and supervised about 20 PhD students. She received her PhD degree in Experimental Physics from HU Berlin in 1982 and the habilitation in 1986. Her research focuses on molecular photobiophysics, especially on fundamental research in the field of photosensitization and artificial photosynthesis. Beside these topics her research was and is focused on the development of time-resolved optical methods for detection of very low light intensities. She works more than 30 years on direct spectroscopic detection of singlet molecular oxygen, the last years in particular on time-resolved luminescence detection. In 1986 she was awarded with the Humboldt Research Price for her habilitation in the field of fundamental research on mechanisms in PDT. 1989 she was a visiting scientist at Bowling Green State University (USA) in the group of Michael Rodgers, one of the pioneers in singlet oxygen luminescence detection. In the 90ie she also visited the Weizmann Institute in Israel (Prof. A. Scherz, Prof. Y. Salomon), In 2009 she was awarded with a Walton Professorship by Science Foundation Ireland.
