Recently, the School of Communication at Fujian Normal University (FNU) welcomed visitors from Massey University (MU) in New Zealand to discuss cooperative education for undergraduate and graduate programs, faculty exchange programs, and other academic activities. The guests, Ms. Wu Nüè, International Affairs Advisor of MU’s International Office, and Professor Kerry Taylor, Associate Dean for International Affairs of MU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, were accompanied by Lin Zhida, Deputy Director of FNU’s International Cooperation and Exchange Office, during their visit.
At the meeting, Xie Zonggui, Dean of the School of Communication, introduced the school's educational programs, scientific research, and discipline construction. He emphasized that cross-school and interdisciplinary cooperation is an inevitable trend and a key to improving education quality and innovation. He expressed hope for increased exchanges with MU’s relevant schools and the initiation of collaborative academic visits for both teachers and students.
In their introduction of MU’s School of Communication, Ms. Wu and Professor Taylor echoed similar sentiments, expressing their desire to facilitate inter-school communication and work together to advance exchange programs for undergraduate and graduate students. They also aimed to increase contacts in related fields.
After the meeting, the guests visited the Virtual Studio and the Star Rain Theater in the School of Communication.
