Recently, Stanford University released the sixth edition of the top 2% Global Scientists List of 2023, and professor Lu Dengsheng from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Carbon Neutral Future Technology of FNU was selected for the fourth time in the career long citation impact and citation impact during the single calendar year 2022.
In the list, Professor Lu Dengsheng ranked first in the career-long citation impact in the field of Geological & Geomatics Engineering (a total of 150 people in China) and seventh in citation impact during the single calendar year.
It is reported the top 2% Global Scientists List in all disciplines created by Stanford University is a collaboration between Elsevier and Professor John Ioannidis of Stanford University, the United States. The list is based on the Scopus database, which calculates the number of citations of papers published by each scientist during 1960-2023, and adopts six indicators for comprehensive scoring. 204,643 scientists are selected, covering roughly the top 2% scientists in various disciplines, which, therefore, led to the establishment of the career-long citation impact and citation impact during the single calendar year 2022. The list was first published in June 2019 and updated on Elsevier-owned Mendeley Data in October 2023.
